neville was leading this game 5-0 after 5 innings. neville's field was awesome tonight. the appearance was very professional looking.

pearl river scored 3 in the sixth and 3 in the 7th to come from behind to win it. neville had a good pitching performance by their freshman lefthander. pearl river left the bases loaded twice, early in the game and neville got them out.

neville started the bottom of the 7th with their #9 hitter and he walked. the top of the order could not get him around to tie the score.

neville's second baseman made a few very good plays tonight.

neville was in a bunt situation a few times and could not put the ball in play. they could not make a sacrifice out when they needed it.

congratulations to both teams on a good season and good luck to pearl river in the second round of the playoffs.

i posted a notice this week on the 'help wanted' page that neville has an opening for a head baseball coach. wow! i guess it's bad business to lose that first round playoff game.

neville lost out in the regionals last year and lost in the semis in 2008.
