Why do Hamilton Christian, Merryville, Oberlin & South Cameron play each other 3 times in District?

Each year the coaches in a particular district get together and make their district schedules. With the changing of districts, 4-1A may have dropped to only four teams. I don't know this for certain, but if they did they would have either 6 or 9 district games. I suppose the coaches decided to play each other 3 times instead of only 2. The LHSAA leaves that decision up to each district.
