I would like to invite you and your softball team to participate in ASH JAMBOREES AND ANNUAL TOURNAMENT. These tournaments have played host to some of the best competition in the state for the past years.
The LADY TROJAN SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD MARCH 1-3 at Johnny Downs Softball Complex and the Alexandria Youth Complex near Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. It is one of the premier softball tournaments in the state and we love for you to join in on the success. The format for Varsity is 3 7-inning games for each Varsity team. NO TIME LIMIT. The entry fee for Varsity only in $100.00. The Varsity format is different this year in that we will be playing full 7-inning games. 7-inning “real” games are essential as we enter the “Power Ranking” system. Junior Varsity will be 3 games of 5 innings or 75 minutes. The format for Junior High teams will be two pool games of 75 minutes and then a single elimination tournament following. The entry fee for just Junior Varsity or just Junior High is $60.00.
The HIGH SCHOOL JAMBOREE WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY FEBRUARY 18TH at the Johnny Downs Softball Complex. NO ENTRY FEE. The format will be two 3-inning games per team.
The JUNIOR HIGH JAMBOREE WILL BE SATURDAY FEBRUARY 4 held at the Johnny Downs Softball Complex. There is NO ENTRY FEE for this Jamboree.
The JUNIOR HIGH ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD SATURDAY FEBRUARY 11 at the Johnny Downs Softball Complex. The entry fee is $75.00.
In order to secure your spot in the tournament, please return entry form via email, fax, or mail as soon as possible. Once we receive your commitment to the tournament, an information packet will be sent to you. There is information regarding the ASH Annual Tournament on the reverse side of the next page. If you have any questions regarding the tournament, please contact Katherine Horton at (337) 962-5493. I can also receive text at this number as I know it is sometimes more convenient at school. Alexandria Senior High Annual Tournament Information
· Each coach will receive an information packet, tournament rules and any other pertinent tournament information when they check in at the gate
· VARSITY will play 3 7-inning games
o Essential with the implementation of Power Ranking formula
o One inning International Tie Breaker, after that the game will end in a tie
· Junior Varsity and Junior High will play 3 5-inning or 75 minute games. Finish the inning
· Each team will furnish an approved, ‘like new’ softball for each game
· Home team will be decided by a coin toss
· Home team will be responsible for official book and score reporting
· Please contact me for Hotel Information
· Pool Champions will be decided by:
o Win-Loss record
o Head to Head Result
o Lowest Runs allowed
o Total Run difference
