Avoyelles Mustangs flying high

If you grew up knowing much about Avoyelles parish football, you are aware that the Avoyelles high school football programs has been basically the door mat of this district for several years.

For the first time in school history the Mustangs football team finds itself with a 4-0 record, and the future doesn't look to have many hang ups in its path with the possible of the Marksville Tigers being the one side track. The Mustangs opponents in the first 4 games have a combined record of 3 wins, with 12 losses. The Mustangs behind a great running game have out scored it's oppenents by a margin of 208-119.

Hats off to them to this point of the season and best wishes for the rest of the season.

Lack of competition will hurt them when district time rolls up, but at least they're winning the games that they should win. Caldwell and Marksville will be the top 2 in that district "imo". I know i'm happy to be 3-1 against some pretty tough teams, but i'd rather be 4-0. The players have no control over who they're playing so all they can do is go out their and try to get the W.

That's a good question. There's so many points being scored this season already by lots of teams. That's why I didn't feel comfortable until we got up by 3 td's last week. It seems like every team we play runs a spread. Luckily we have a really good secondary and the d-line is playing great also. I see your boys are undefeated right? Gl unless we meet one another. Who are your top 6 teams in 3a?
