power ratings updated apr 02

softball power ratings have been updated at 7:30 friday. these numbers are calculated from the win loss records we have posted on our internet schedules. please check your own schedule and see if every score is there.

then, check the schedule of every opponent on your schedule and see if their scores have been reported. if one of those scores is missing, it affects your power rating. we need your help to get every win-loss record up to date.

as you can see in one of the other threads, we are missing lots and lots of softball scores!

schedule change? we can fix every last one of them right away if we have the data we need.

do not fax a cover page and a second page with one score on it. to me, that's a waste. if you saw an incomplete score online, you can send an email to get it corrected. in the subject of your email, always, always, always, type this:

your school and your sport
example: airline softball

that's all that needs to be the subject of an email to kenramsey. i have hundreds of emails and my spam filter should kick out any email with a subject line like this:
hey
re
score
or, if the subject is left blank

we have approx 400 baseball teams and 400 softball teams. that's a lot of score reporting and a lot of emails. please consider that i must have some sort of a filing system so i can get the correct data.

the 2-page fax i received this morning, reporting one score, does not tell me which sport they are referring to so i am unable to post that data on the proper schedule. so, that's a 2-page fax, wasted, down the drain.

that's why there is a 'submit score' link on every schedule on our site. so, i have to move on to the next email. hopefully this info will come around to me again with all of the data we need to post the score correctly. our link for 'submit score' prompts you for the info we must have.

as of friday april 02, and after a slow start, our online baseball schedules now contain more data than our softball schedules.
thanks to everyone who checks our schedules online and helps us keep every win-loss record up to date and accurate at all times.

we depend on our visitors to send that info to us.

what would really be extra nice, is for our visitors to share info with us about your ball games. we like to read the names of the players and a little info about them.

who's doing the hitting for your team?
who's pitching?
who's making the great plays?
who is your steady defensive player who can make those routine plays?
anyone stealing any bases this year?
which team gives up the fewest runs per game?
were there any improvements at your field since last year?

these so much for us to talk about right here. aren't you proud of your child and the kids on your team? they read this, too. let's give them some good 'virtual ink'!
