I am Back and have a new gripe. This is the second time this has happened. A team enters a varsity tournament, plays and loses then decides to call it a JV game. It is your option who you play on the field and if you enter the varsity tournament then it is a varsity team win or lose. This was the second time this year that we had played this team and when they beat us they with the same players they called it a varsity win.same pitcher pitched both games. take yoyur losses as you take your wins.

So many loose ends in softball. Tournaments counting as one game; wild card selection criteria in reference to "stronger" Districts, how we define JV to begin with...I could go on. I do agree with you though. Exploiting a loophole so flagrantly is aggravating; however, as long as it's not "illegal" can't blame coaches for taking advantage.

You should report them as varsity games for your team. If the other coach has no more integrity than to declare losses JV games, then you have to just reinforce the fact that it was a countable game for you. Submit the corrected information to KR and where ever you coaches send your official games results. DON'T ACCEPT IT. We had a team try that on us last year or the year before, but we just reported it correctly and it stood. Not sure what the challenge mechanism is, but with so few games, it would be worth it to find out.

Did you report the game on KR or did they? It is listed on your games, but not on theirs. If they didn't declare it a JV game BEFORE the first pitch, I would say you just need to send in the correct info.

I reported it correctly as did the Vidalia coach and I guess that Franklin Parish coach changed it. It was listed correctly at first, then changed. The Vidalia coach ,host of the tournament and I both have e-mailed KR about the situation. Since this has happened I guess the loss to them 2-1 in the Ouachita Tournament should be erased as a JV game.

send those franklin parish scores to me again. has anyone called the lhsaa to get their ruling on this? bj will tell us if those are varsity games or not. whatever bj says will be the way we should report those scores. if bj says theyare varsity games, we definately need to have them on the schedule.

since i deleted them from the schedule, i do not have thoise scores anymore. please send them to me again so i can have them ready to add back to the schedules. the tournament host team should have every score for every game that was played in that tournament. i need for them to send those scores to me again.

I reported the game as a varsity game not a JV. They called in to make it a JV.

i have talked to the coaches today, and to lsca president scott nielson of st amant. they are going to make a ruling on this and let me know tonight, i hope.

I heard .they have had an up and down year. They did beat us. With such a year, I just he wants a change. I hope that he knows there is a difference between Softball and Baseball
