Neville Tiger Football: 1931 Through 2006 went on sale to the public on Friday, October 26, 2007 at Bill Ruple Stadium preceding the Neville vs Byrd game. This book was written by Glenn Martin, an outstanding student and athlete in the early 1970's. Glenn now resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is looking forward to being here for the event.

Neville Tiger Football: 1931 Through 2006 would not have been possible without the original work of Bill Beall who published a 1976 pamphlet entitled The History Of Neville Tiger Football. Beall, with the help of many others, spent countless hours researching and compiling the information presented in this history by combing through newspapers, school annuals, and microfilm, as well as collecting information by word of mouth. Beall is a former athletic director at Northeast Louisiana University, and his daughter, Belinda, was a Neville varsity cheerleader during the 1973 season.

Neville Tiger Football: 1931 Through 2006 duplicates Beall's pamphlet and extends it through the 2006 season. It maintains the original format in attempting to create a complete record of coaches, principals, varsity rosters, all-state players, managers, cheerleaders, football sponsors, and homecoming courts. It also adds numerous anecdotes about Tiger Football. The italicized locker room quotes at the bottom of the pages are some of Coach Ruple's and Coach Brown's favorites.

Anyone who desires information on ordering the book, please call Barbara Walker, Athletic Department Secretary, at 318.323.2237 or 318.323.2238 Extension 3012.
